Russian historians I.Dyakonov and N.Shavrov wrote about it: \u201cancient Armenians appeared in the upper valley of Euphrates river approximately in the 1st<\/sup> millennium BC.\u201d (I.Dyakonov, Initial History of the Armenian nation. Yerevan, 1968, pg.237)<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the beginning of the 20th<\/sup> century 1 million of Armenians out of 1 million and 300 thousands in Transcaucasia were not local inhabitants of this district: they were transferred here by us\u201d (N.Shavrov. New danger to the Russian interest in Transcaucasia. Saint Petersburg. 1911, pg.61).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n It is sufficient to read the \u201cNotes on the movement of Armenians from Iran to our territories\u201d by diplomat and playwright A.Griboyedov, who said that \u201cArmenians were placed mainly in the lands of landowners\u201d. Moscow, 1977, pg.399-444).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Then Armenian scholars themselves confessed that the Armenians were not aboriginal people of the Caucasus.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Historian B.Ishkhanyan wrote in his \u201cCaucasian Nations\u201d: \u201cin the ancient period, Great Armenia, original country of Armenians, was situated in the Lesser Asia, distant from Russia.\u201d (B.Ishkhanyan. Caucasian Nations, Petrograd, 1916, pg.18).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Let\u2019s pay attention to the note of the famous scholar, first president of the Armenian SSR I.Orbeli: \u201ccurrent Nagorno Karabakh was a part of the Albania of the middle ages, and later it was occupied by Armenian feudal lords.\u201d (I.Orbeli. Yerevan, 1963, pg.358).<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In our opinion famous Armenian scholar Manuk Abegyan expressed identity and formation of Armenia more exactly and truly: \u201cwhat is the origin of Armenian nation, how did they come here (to Yerevan), what relations did they have before becoming Armenians and who influenced their language and ethnic composition?
