{"id":45583,"date":"2017-09-29T16:59:24","date_gmt":"2017-09-29T12:59:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/1905.az\/?p=45583"},"modified":"2017-09-29T16:59:24","modified_gmt":"2017-09-29T12:59:24","slug":"world-renowned-azerbaijani-scientist-lotfi-zadeh-laid-to-rest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/1905.az\/en\/world-renowned-azerbaijani-scientist-lotfi-zadeh-laid-to-rest\/","title":{"rendered":"World-renowned Azerbaijani scientist Lotfi Zadeh laid to rest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span>A farewell ceremony for world-famous Azerbaijani scientist Lotfi Zadeh was held at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) on Friday.<\/span><!--more--><a href=\"http:\/\/1905.az\/lutfi-zad%c9%99-i-f%c9%99xri-xiyabanda-d%c9%99fn-olunub\/lutfi-zade-defn-1\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-45488\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/1905.az\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/lutfi-zade-defn-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"750\" height=\"500\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-45488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/1905.az\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/lutfi-zade-defn-1.jpg 750w, https:\/\/1905.az\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/lutfi-zade-defn-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/1905.az\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/lutfi-zade-defn-1-400x267.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 750px) 100vw, 750px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The ceremony was attended by President<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.apa.az\/tag\/Ilham-Aliyev\">Ilham Aliyev<\/a>, state and government officials, scientists and public figures,<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/apa.az\/\">APA<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>reported.<\/p>\n<p>ANAS President<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.apa.az\/tag\/Akif-Ali\">Akif Ali<\/a>zade emphasized that Lotfi Zadeh made huge contributions to various areas of science, and scientists in Azerbaijan and all over the world are deeply saddened by his death.<\/p>\n<p>Education Minister<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"http:\/\/en.apa.az\/tag\/Mikayil-Jabbarov\">Mikayil Jabbarov<\/a><span>\u00a0<\/span>said that his last wish was to be buried in his homeland. \u201cThis shows that he lived with Azerbaijan in his heart till his last breath. His contributions to world science are unparalleled.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Academician Telman Aliyev noted that Lotfi Zadeh\u2019s theories resulted in fundamental changes in some areas of science. Aliyev added that transportation, bank, and intellectual systems in many countries operate on the basis of the scientist\u2019s theory.<\/p>\n<p>Academician Rasim Aliguliev said that Lotfi Zadeh\u2019s theory is used in many spheres. \u201cFifth-generation computers are also to be created based on his theory. He was a scientist who deserved the Nobel Prize,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Misir Mardanov, director of the ANAS Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, spoke about the indispensable merits of Lotfi Zadeh.
