The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, arrived in St. Petersburg on Friday, December 20, at the invitation of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, to attend an informal meeting of the CIS heads of state, like an AZERTAC correspondent announced.
President Aliyev was met at Pulkovo-1 Airport in St. Petersburg by the governor of the Leningrad Oblast, Alexander Drosdenko, a member of the St. Petersburg government, the chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, Yevgeniy Grigoryev, the vice-chair of the Leningrad Foreign Relations Committee Greeted Oblast, Inna Bigotskaya and other officials.
