“An Armenian reconnaissance-raiding group attempted to cross the line of contact in the direction of Aghdam District in the evening of December 26,” Azerbaijan`s Defence Ministry has told AzerTAc.

“Thanks to the vigilance of our units on the front line, the enemy’s attempt was prevented.”

According to the Defence Ministry, “after a brief shootout the Armenian reconnaissance-raiding party retreated with losses. Its member, professional serviceman Bagdasaryan Arsen Eduardovich was captured by the Azerbaijani armed forces.”

An investigation has been launched into the incident, the Ministry said.
