“Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be resolved on the basis of UN Security Council resolutions within the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan,” said OIC Secretary General Iyad bin Amin Madani as he addressed the 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in İstanbul.
The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 120 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry said.
The hostile forces’ weapons, ammunition, night vision equipment, battle documents, vehicle and various equipments left in the battle field have been captured by Azerbaijan Armed Forces.
A group of 42 Azerbaijani military personnel including 38 soldiers, 2 medical and 2 sapper officers sent to Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in accordance with the plan and rotation for serving within NATO-led “Resolute Support” mission launched in Afghanistan from January, 2015.
The peacekeeping contingent of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces has been serving under the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan since November 20, 2002.
Currently, a group of 90 servicemen, 2 medical and 2 sapper officers is participating in a peace-building mission in Afghanistan.
