In accordance with the mutual agreement achieved by the mediation of relevant international organizations, Azerbaijan and Armenia have exchanged the corpses of servicemen on the line of contact on April 10.

According to Azerbaijan State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing People, the process was realized by the Commission and Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense through the mediation of the OSCE and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

During the process Armenia violated the ceasefire.

From 2 to 5 April during the counter attacks of Azerbaijani Armed Forces, various documents, communication devices and equipment belonging to Armenian servicemen have been captured. During this actions hostile forces have been defeated and suffered heavy losses.

On 8 April 2016 at 16.00 hrs. Defence Attaches, representatives of Defence Attaché Offices and International Organizations (UN, EU and ICRC) accredited in Azerbaijan have been presented a briefing on provocative actions of Armenian units towards Azerbaijan citizens and settlements along the line of confrontation. The event took place at the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Ministry of Defence.
During the briefing the representatives of Defence Attaché Offices and International Organizations have been presented the information based on real facts about massive damages caused to local infrastructure as well as dead and wounded civilians in Azerbaijan residential areas that were victims of constant suppressive fire of Armenian units’ heavy weapons.
Meanwhile, the foreign representatives have been presented material reflecting the reality of recent incidents and the facts proving the falsification of Armenian disinformation, as if aggressive actions were committed by Azerbaijan servicemen against Armenian population, which was also a part of Armenian information war against Azerbaijan.
At the end of the meeting questions of the participants were answered.

“The Azerbaijani armed forces have shot down an Armenian unmanned aerial vehicle,” the defense ministry said.

“The Armenian armed forces’ X-55 drone was brought down by the Azerbaijani units by a special method when it was performing intelligence gathering operations over our positions on the frontline,” the ministry said.

The situation on the contact line between Azerbaijan and Armenia has remained tense as the Armenian Armed Forces shattered ceasefire a total of 119 times throughout the day, Azerbaijan`s Defense Ministry said.

Armenian armed forces, located in Armenia’s Berkaber, Paravakar villages of Ijevan region, Mosesgekh, Chinari villages of Berd region and nameless hills Krasnoselsk region subjected to fire the positions of Azerbaijani armed forces located in nameless hills and Gizilhajili village of Gazakh region, Kohnagishlag village of Agstafa region, Agdam, Alibayli villages in Tovuz region and nameless hills of Gadabay region.

The ceasefire was violated in Gulustan village in Goranboy region, Goyarkh, Yarimja, Chilaburt villages in Tartar region, Shikhlar, Sarijali, Kangarli, Namirli villages in Aghdam region, Kuropatkino village in Khojavand region, Garakhanbayli, Horadiz, Gorgan, Ashagi Seyidahmadli villages in Fuzuli region, Mehdili village of Jabrayil region, as well as nameless hills in Goygol, Goranboy, Khojavand, Fuzuli and Jabrayil regions.

In view of the operational situation, Azerbaijani armed forces inflicted 125 strikes on enemy positions.

The ceasefire regime is still being violated by the units of the Armenian Armed Forces despite the achieved agreement in Moscow, between the Chiefs of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Republic of Armenia.
Thus according to the information, at present, our positions near the Tapgaragoyunlu settlement of Goranboy region is being intensively shelled with 60, 82 and 120 mm mortars.
However, the Azerbaijani side still observes the agreement and does not return a response fire.
