3 mortar shells launched by Armenia hit northeastern Iran

Three mortal shells fired during the ongoing conflict in the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh have hit a village in northwestern Iranian province of East Azarbaijan, but no casualties or damages have been reported, an Iranian official said.

The officer of Azerbaijani armed forces, Lieutenant Galib Zulfugarli (1992), who was killed as a result of the diversion carried out by Armenian armed forces on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on March 27, was buried in the Vilvan village of the Lankaran district.

A farewell ceremony that took place on March 28 was attended by residents of the village, representatives of the Lankaran district executive authority and the State Service on Mobilization and Conscription, soldiers and officers of the military unit where Zulfugarli had served.

The martyr was buried after a volley salute was performed.
