Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Nuriyev has met with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Olivér Várhelyi.

Describing Azerbaijan as a reliable partner of the European Union, the sides hailed the successful development of cooperation between the organization and the country in various fields.

The two exchanged views on the prospects for the EU-Azerbaijan cooperation in the fields of transport, green energy, digital technologies, science and education. Olivér Várhelyi expressed the organization’s readiness to support Azerbaijan in demining and restoration of the liberated territories.

Stressing the significance of the TAP project, the sides praised Azerbaijan’s important role in ensuring EU’s energy security.
