A monument to Minister of Internal Affairs of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR) Behbud Khan Javanshir, who was killed by Armenian terrorist, will be erected in Istanbul.

The construction project is carried out by Azerbaijan’s Consulate General in Istanbul in collaboration with Governor’s Office and the Metropolitan Municipality of Istanbul. The official opening ceremony of the monument will be held on December 18.
Minister of Internal Affairs of ADR Behbud Khan Javanshir was killed by a member of the Armenian “Dashnaksutyun” terrorist organization Misak Torlakyan on July 18, 1921 in front of the Pera Palas hotel in Istanbul.
