“Azerbaijan and Russia enjoy friendly and good neighborly relations,” said Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov as he met with a delegation led by Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov.
“Based on mutual respect for each other’s interests, the Azerbaijan-Russia relations are those of a strategic partnership, and cover all areas. I believe that these relations will continue developing in the years to come,” Prime Minister Novruz Mammadov said.
Novruz Mammadov hailed the importance of the Baku-hosted Azerbaijan-Russia Industrial Cooperation Forum, and expressed his confidence that the event, as well as the visit of the delegation led by Minister Denis Manturov to Azerbaijan will contribute to further expansion of economic relations between the two countries.
Saying Azerbaijan attaches particular attention to the development of non-oil sector, and the expansion of entrepreneurship activities in the field of industry, the Prime Minister provided an insight into the industrial parks created in Azerbaijan, including the Pirallahi Industrial Park.
Minister Denis Manturov expressed his confidence that the discussions they held will give an impetus to boosting economic and trade relations between the two countries. The Russian Minister described the constructive approaches between the two countries as an important platform in terms of creating favorable business environment.
The sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of petrochemicals, mechanical engineering, aviation, and pharmaceuticals, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
