US Secretary of State John Kerry plans to visit Azerbaijan but exact date of his visit is yet unclear.

According to 1news.az, the statement came from US ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar.

“The United States is very active in its mediation efforts as the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair and continues its work within the group”, the diplomat said.

As for holding the meetings of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia, Morningstar noted: “I consider it important to hold regular meetings between the presidents of the two countries for discussion of definite steps aimed at resolving the conflict. I hope that the presidents will meet again soon. This may take place both in official and unofficial atmosphere”, Morningstar said.
