Manuk Abeghian, well-known literary critic, linguist, folklorist, academician: “… where the roots of the Armenian people are, how, when, at what time, from where and in what ways they have come here … We do not have exact and tangible evidence of this.” (“History of Armenian Literature”, Yerevan, 1975).

Although Armenians, who realized their wills under the patronage of Russia, were not the local inhabitants of the Caucasus, they did all tricks and intrigues in order to settle in this ancient and rich territory.

Azerbaijan has a statehood history of more than five thousand years. A thousand years of three millennia, beginning from Mannea – our first centralized state, are considered as a period of independent states, and two thousand years as a period of occupations.

An artificially created “Armenian case” has been a source of trouble in the Caucasus for several centuries. The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a serious problem for the region too. Superpowers played big role in making this problem emerge.
