Politicians, as well as, chess players compute their turns. In this regard, the art of logical consistency is observed in the activity of the Armenian politicians, too. But after achieving the desired, their oriental hypocrisy becomes conspicuously evident, the nobleness and sincerity of their goal do not cause any doubt. Armenia is the only former republic of the Soviet Union which has captured actually a part of the territory of the neighboring republic. As in the 20s of XX century today the old idea of “from sea to sea”, of”Great Armenia” form the core of the policy of the extremely nationalist “Dashnaksutyun” party. As a result of the Karabakh war, Azerbaijan has lost 20% of its territory. The most astonishing is that such a thing took place in the most powerful totalitarian state of the world.. After the Great Patriotic War for the first time there appeared refugees in the Soviet Union. The Armenian militants used the most modern weapons, as well as, heavy equipment – tanks and artillery. And all these took place in the country where not only a tank, but even a cartridge was under the control of the state. General Secretary of the CC CPSU M. Gorbachev, who had the authority of a czar and thousands of security officers under his control, who could prevent the bloody conflict by issuing a decree, or something else, remained as an observer of events. Even in those years the signs of independence were becoming apparent in the activity of local authorities and in the political life of Armenia. It is no accidental that Armenia was the first to declare its independence. Willy-nilly one recalls the terror action committed in the train of Moscow by an Armenian extremist group, who called themselves the fighters for the liberation of Armenia, during the rule of Brezhnev.
… Within the short period of the modern history of the Armenian statehood its politicians use the tactics of gambit and gradually improve it.
The absurd dream of Dashnaksutyun Party to build an Armenian state during the World War First led the Russian and the Ottoman empires to war and thousands of Armenians became victims of it.
At that time, in the history of wars for the first time the Armenian nationalists set the task of liberating territories for the future Armenia by exterminating non-Armenian population of the Eastern Anatolia.
The Dashnak rebelled against the civilians in the rear front of the Ottoman Empire, with the assistance of the Russian weapons delivered secretly they began to kill them and disperse the settlements in order to change the demographic factor in their favor. The Turkish authorities moved the Armenians from the possible ways of the contact with the Russian army and established an order in the rear and put an end to the general panic. The columns of the Armenian refugees appeared in the previous locations of the Turkish who wanted to save themselves from the Armenians before. And the most inevitable happened! A spontaneous revenge began. An evil created another evil.
The Armenians lived among the Turkish and were very successful in trade and crafts, held leading positions in the state for centuries, and were not subjected to any national or religious discrimination. Criminal methods used by the Dashnak to achieve their goals turned to the tragedy of the Armenians in Turkey.
Some dilettantes periodically raise the question of the recognition of the Armenian genocide. However, the fact is that the officials of the Ottoman Empire did not plan and organize genocide as it was committed against the Jewish in Germany. The Court of Nations found the culprits and sentenced them for committing genocide in Germany. No one ever accused the German people who had suffered from fascism not less. Punishment of the Armenians in Turkey was a response of the common people to the massacre of the civilian Turkish in the Eastern Anatolia committed by the Armenian nationalists with the support of Russia. It is madness to accuse and punish the Turkish people for events of the past in the Ottoman Empire.
Here, one would like to make a short excursion to the history of Azerbaijan. Russia was exhausted as a result of the position battles; therefore it withdrew its troops from Turkey and kept them temporarily in the Caucasus. It supplied the Dashnaks with arms who still kept a portion of the Turkish territories under control.
The Dashnaksutyun Party had its branch in Baku; it supplied the local Armenians with arms and organized a rebellion. The Azerbaijanis eager to escape the slaughter left the capitals. The Armenian nationalists wanted to seize Azerbaijan and its oil industry. Turkey sent troops in order to prevent the intention of Dashnaks and save the Azerbaijanis. They suppressed the uprising and for the sake of justice it is necessary to say they did not let the Azerbaijanis to take revenge and slaughter the Armenian population of Baku.
In the 1980s the nationalistic ideas of Dashnaksutyun again “flamed” again after half of a century. They developed a plan with the application of the gambit tactics for the deportation of 200 000 Azerbaijanis in order to own the territories they lived. This time they were successful.
Because of the lack of information and indifference of law-enforcement bodies the Azerbaijanis living in Gafan were deported. Refugees were temporarily accommodated in Sumgait. The Azerbaijani authorities appealed too Moscow hoping to solve the misunderstanding to send the refugees back, but in vain. Moscow kept silent. There was a vacuum of information. As if there were not refugees from Armenia. However, people needed home and work. They make appeals to all the higher instances for the solution of the problem. The refugees became impatient, provocateurs began and a real tragedy happened in Sumgait. All the events in Sumgait was shot by video apparatus, documented and operatively sent abroad. Thus, the Armenians won in the war of information. Hereinafter, the mass deportation of the Armenians from Azerbaijan began and war the Karabakh war broke out.
The Caucasus is a complicated region; the future of its peoples depends on the political ambitions of Moscow and Yerevan. As it seems, Yerevan intends to play a new gambit tactics by sacrificing its independence.
