Photographer: Seljan Gurbanova 

Seljan Gurbanova was born in 1994 in Baku. She graduated from the Gymnasium of Art, department of descriptive and applied art. Currently, she studies graphic design at the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Art. Seljan loves art and photography. Currently, she works in “Icharishahar” State Historical Architectural Reserve as a photographer.

 

 

 

Absheron district. Novkhani settlement. The hostel where the IDPs live. Drama of the people driven out from Khojaly is portrayed in the album. Those people once lived with their relatives in the same land. They had a beautiful life. However, Armenian armed forces banished them from their houses and perpetrated massacres against them. The most tragic aspect is killing of their relatives in front of their eyes. In one word, lives of those people have been annihilated. Photos of 70 years of Birja grandma will draw your attention. Birja grandma said that she lost her two sons in Karabakh and she did not cut her hair since that tragedy.
