Genocide in Shamakhi

In the March and April of 1918 the Armenian armed detachments committedgenocide in the uezd of Shamakhi. During this genocide 8027 Azerbaijanis in 53villages of Shamakhi were murdered, 4190 of them are men, 2560 – being women,1277 – being children. According to calculations the material damages suffered byAzerbaijan according to the prices of that time made 339,5 million manats.

Genocide in Khojaly

On the 26th of February of 1992, the armed forces of Armenia with the supportof the Motor-Rifle Battalion 366 of the Soviet army dislocated in Khankendi occupiedthe town and committed genocide against the Azerbaijanis. Within the night 613people, including 63 children, 106 women, 70 aged people were murdered with aspecial cruelty.
