Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress send protest letter to VU University of Amsterdam

Benelux Azerbaijanis Congress (BAC) and other Azerbaijani Diaspora organizations functioning in the Netherlands have sent a letter of protest to the VU University of Amsterdam regarding the presentation of the book by Armenian Anna Astvatsaturian born in Baku, about the Baku and Sumgayit events in the 1990s.

Sudanese Parliament recognizes Khojaly Genocide


The Parliament of the Republic of Sudan has recognized the bloody events happened in Azerbaijan’s Khojaly town in 1992 as genocide, department head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Hikmet Hajiyev said at a press conference today, APA reports.

Armenian armed units fire on Azerbaijani positions

Armenian armed units fired on the Azerbaijani positions from the posts near Novruzlu, Javahirli, Bash Garvand villages of Aghdam region, Kuropatkino village of Khojavand region, Ashagi Veysalli village of Fuzuli region and in nameless uplands on the night of September 7-8, APA reports quoting the website of the Defense Ministry.

In 1918 the leader of the Russian Bolsheviks Vladimir Lenin appointed Stephan Shaumyan the extraordinary Commissar of the Caucasus and sent him to Baku. The Bolsheviks seized power in Baku and created conditions for the Armenian armed formations to realize their secret purposes.
