Statement of the ACSDA on its large-scale project related to the 110th anniversary of the genocide acts perpetrated by Armenians against Azerbaijan:
“Since the end of the 18th century Russian Empire started annexation of the territories of the Southern Caucasus. As a result of the empire policy Azerbaijani lands were divided and Azerbaijani people became a separated nation. One of the main consequences of the annexation is mass resettlement of Armenians from the Middle East countries to Azerbaijani territories. Armenians, who migrated to the Southern Caucasus, purposefully, were resettled in the strategic Azerbaijani lands, in Nakhchivan, around Goycha Lake and mountainous part of Karabakh by Russian Empire.
Armenians, who came to the Azerbaijani lands, with insistence of imperial powers started armed aggression against local Azerbaijanis in order to consolidate their position. Although, the first Armenian attacks were chaotic and accidental, since 1905 armed attacks were planned. In 1905-1907 Armenians perpetrated large-scale bloody operation in the Azerbaijani territories, annihilated residential places of Azerbaijanis and brutally killed thousands of Azerbaijanis. If we have a look to the chronology of 1905-1906 genocide we can see that they perpetrated mass massacres in Baku, Yerevan, Ganja, villages of Yerevan district, Nakhchivan district, Sharur-Daralayaz, Sharur, Echmiedzin district, Surmali district, Arash district, Shusha district, Khojaly, Javanshir district, Zangazur district, Gazakh district and in Tiflis. In general, in 1905-1905, Armenians destroyed more than 200 houses within the territory of Yerevan and Yelizavetpol (Ganja) governorates, and made people expose to ethnic cleaning and genocide. Genocide of Armenians against Azerbaijanis also continued in later periods, and after establishment of the Armenian state in the historical Azerbaijani lands, this genocide policy was continued on state level. Bloody crimes perpetrated by Armenians covered all residential points of the Southern Caucasus that Azerbaijanis lived and as a result of these crimes, over 2 million Azerbaijanis were driven out from their historical lands and were subjected to special cruelty.
Next year will be the 100th anniversary of the mass genocide acts, crimes and massacres perpetrated by Armenians against Azerbaijanis. Regarding to this issue ACSDA has inaugurated a new large-scale project aiming to deliver genocide acts by Armenians against Azerbaijanis, real essence of Armenian trait to the world community. Web portal of the projected was activated in www.1905.az .The website operating in 12 languages, including working languages of the UN and regional countries, works in test regime.
